Lost friends

Yes, indeed, we have lost our marriage witnesses!

Susan and I married on August 16. 1966 in Hamilton Ontario.

And would you believe it?  We are still together.  After our time in Canada, we returned to Europe and finally settled in Austria. It was only in 2006 that we both returned to Canada for our 40th wedding anniversary.

We had two children:

Michaela, who gave us two grandchildren: Leonie and Laurenz.

Alex, who died in 1977, age 24.

But over the years, we have lost our wedding witnesses:

Our best Man: 
Peter McLachlan, Jim, as everybody called him, came from the UK. Jim worked for Rubicon in Toronto.

And Jutta Langenberg, at least that was her name then. Her friend was Bernd Arnd, both came from Germany.
